Today is Love Your Melon Superhero Day
What a special night.
When Derek was inpatient in the PICU last December we learned about Love Your Melon hats. They were unable to do a visit at that time, but they sent hats to Derek and Kate, making sure to get Derek his favorite color. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I got an email from Blake from Augsburg college asking if Derek would like a superhero visit. YES!
What a great group of college students. They brought things to play with and spent time with Derek and Kate. What a fun and memorable night. Way cool and I am so thankful we were able to be a part of it. They thanked us when they left and I can certainly not thank them enough for their time.
