Feb 19 - 1010am

Another quick update--these are so much easier when the news is good!  Rich is coming home!    He's off the pain meds, eating solid food, and taking his own shower and making trips up and down the hospital hall.   Jeannette has the house ready, and everything this morning is upbeat and continuing to go the way the doctors want it to go.   

It has not been a totally smooth ride, as yesterday and the night before were rough ones for Rich, and he went through some vomiting and feeling lousy.  But part of that for sure was the adjustments in his meds, the shifting from one painkiller to another, and a few of the horse pills that upset his stomach.      But his doctor said that's all "normal" for this kind of surgery and all the big signs, such as temperature, etc, are all right where they are supposed to be.   - John
