Rich continues to improve, and they are planning to remove the ventilator tomorrow.   All his numbers are where they want them, and there is little to report on him tonight.   

Jeannette has had a tough day, with some good news, and some news that has us on edge.   The good news is her MRI showed all of the neck vertebra, ligaments, etc, are stable and the neck injury is under control.   That has been a big worry, but the MRI shows that things are looking OK there.   So, that was a relief.   But the post surgery report was not as comforting, and so it is that news which has us edgy tonight.   More of her small intestine had to be removed, and they can't remove any more.   It is clear that the doctors are concerned, and non-medically speaking, her "gut" is still problamatical.   I don't have the specifics and I'm no doctor, but what was made crystal clear is that the next 24 to 48 hours are going to be very important.-John
