Sept 8- Saturday 7:45pm
Team Keida Fans! Here is your second report of the day, although don't expect much drama, thank God!
Rich wants to convey his sincere gratitude to all for the prayers, posts, transportation, food, companionshIp, chores getting done around his house, meals, etc. He is overwhelmed by the support of the Willow community, fellow Chicken Fleeters, former AF friends, friends from Las Vegas, Arizona, college, well wishes from Jeannette's family in England, etc, etc etc. I will next break a cardinal rule of military speech. Don't thank everyone by name because you will probably forget someone important. It is unintentional. I think he is especially grateful to his sister Mary Kay(Ann), who is back in town! Also Erika and Joyce who are doing the majority of sitting with Jeannette now that Sam is gone AND of course the wonderful Sam. If I had a daughter, I would want one just like her! Jeannette keeps saying "Isn't she wonderful!!!!!" and I have to agree. Did I mention the wonderful Willow folks who have rallied round? Rich is doing so well that Krista has earned some time off.
Joyce reports a restful, relaxing day after I left. Jeannette had one of her best sleeps yet last night so she was up for visitors. Erika came, as well as Andy and his wife from Willow. They had also visited Rich and dropped off Swedish meatballs and key lime pie for dessert ( I'm heading to Willow!) There were 2 more face time sessions with Rich. Once when Erika was there and once when Mary Kay stopped by. Jeannette also managed to down an Ensure which is good because the Dr wants her to work on her electrolyte levels. My opinion on this is that she needs to drink that in a milkshake because everything is better with ice cream. She did have a treat yesterday when Erika brought her a strawberry milkshake.
Rich was also visited by Claire and Laura is going to help him with PT tonight. His plan was to retire early, after welcoming Mary Kay. They plan to visit Jeannette tomorrow. The next update should occur after Rich reports in on his visit with Jeannette. Sully
