Panitumumab is back in the house
I'm sitting here covered in a nice warm blanket and receiving my fourth FOLFIRI treatment. We've decided to add Panitumumab back into the mix to see if we get a better response using it along with the FOLFIRI compared to what we got using it alone...Not looking forward to the almost certain rash that will accompany this new addition but if it works I'll deal with it. We finally made it out for our first camping trip of the summer! Yellowstone Lake state park was our home for this past weekend and the weather was perfect. Di built awesome campfires the entire weekend. The kids and I went paddle boating on the lake. We all played lots of games in between swimming, eating s'mores and exploring the abandoned playground that the kids discovered down a path from our campsite. Uno, Flux, Sorry, Clue, you name it...I got my butt kicked at every game we played. All in all, a pretty great weekend. I expect this week to be similar to my last treatment. The current mix of anti-nausea meds seems to be working. I'll most likely feel lousy and out of it until Wednesday but should start feeling better (and hungry) on Thursday. Happy Monday! Korbin

So nice to hear from you. I hope the next few days aren't too bad. Will be thinking of you also in my prayers. Cheryle
I hope your treatments go well, Korby. As you said, if the treatments work.....what's a little rash? I just hope it doesn't become uncomfortable. At least the weather is cooperating this week. Warm.....but not humid. That has to be a plus, I would think. So happy you had a great weekend of camping. Keeping you all in my prayers, as usual. Love and Prayers to all......
I am so glad that you had wonderful, joyful family time before your treatment this week. Prayers being sent for you to feel well soon again!
Your camping trip to Yellowstone sounds wonderful! Campfires and paddle boats and games with the family are summer memories forever. Hope the family time and double whammy of panitumumab and full fury shows good results. Prayers continue for you all. Peace, Diane
Hang in there Korbin and family. Sending kind thoughts and prayers your way.
Hope your week goes really fast ! Maybe reread Harry potter agsin. That would make time go fast. Camping trip looked great. Great pics too. Was a tough time when I had to admit I wasn't letting scott win anymore. :) Good luck with your week!
