Thursday night - home again! 7/6/17
We came home today! Yay! Peter has been improving slightly on the sound and light sensitivity front too--we had two time periods yesterday where friends came and led us in some quiet worship music which was so powerful. And today Peter could watch a movie for the first time in weeks!
Please pray for Peter's pain control overnights, specifically tonight. We spent a lot of time this week figuring out a system at the hospital, and discharged today expecting to keep up with the plan that worked, but we had a wrench thrown into the mix today. Praying for favor and that it will all get sorted tomorrow and no crazy pain spikes tonight.
Tami has been staying with us almost 24/7, and Esther is staying most of the time (including overnights) with friends while we figure all of this out. Please pray for strength for Peter and myself so we can start having Esther overnight again and so we don't need help constantly. A big factor is that the pain and nausea needs to stop, and I keep believing that it will be still and calm like the storm that calmed when Jesus spoke.
Tomorrow we go for his first chemo at the cancer center, then Peter gets a 7 day break from chemo!
Through it all we continue to be overwhelmed by the goodness of God. Thank you for each and every prayer--they are making a difference.

So good to hear that you guys are home!! We are continuously praying daily! ❤️
I read something today from 'Experiencing God's Presence' by Chris Tiegreen that reminded me so much of you two, your faith and your love. "Faith is the evidence of 'things we cannot see,' according to Hebrews 11:1. If we could see them, we wouldn't be employing faith. So why are we surprised when God leads us down roads on which the fulfillment of His promise is invisible? If He is pleased with faith, and if faith is required to receive a promise, then the evidence of the promise has to hide for a season. Circumstances must contradict it. And we must hold on in assurance that what God has spoken is true." God has spoken healing over Peter and that is true. You are demonstrating such amazing faith during the trial you are enduring. God is smiling at both of you! Love and prayers!
Praying for peace and that God will meet all of your needs.
Thankful you are home!!! Praying these prayer requests and taking them before the throne. Continue to pray over the healing verses in God's word. They are so powerful and encouraging! One day at a time ...
