Praying for Peter Map
Hey Everyone!
First off, I had this idea! I want to make a google map with the locations and names of people praying for Peter all over the world. Can you help me out? Will you please add your name and location? And then you can even submit it again with the names of friends who won't see this post but who have told you they are praying for us? I think the visual representation will be a powerful encouragement to us personally and to our community!
Fill out this super short form, and I'll use that to add it to the map: http://bit.ly/prayingforpeter
Here is where you can find the map: http://bit.ly/prayingforpetermap
I don't think it will live update, so I'll refresh it now and then over the coming weeks so we can see it grow. I'll probably update it a lot tonight too because I'm excited about it!
THANK YOU!
Okay, here's an update on Peter: Today was our first full day home. Peter is still dealing with a lot of light, sound and movement sensitivity. It hasn't gotten worse than yesterday, but it hasn't really gotten better either.
He got up and went to his first infusion at the West Michigan Cancer Center today, and that went well--much faster, calmer, and more peaceful than the hospital environment. However, the rest of the day he's spent sitting in the dark and silence at home. He was able to watch a movie part of the time, but his pain has been higher today, so it's mostly been trying to get comfortable and attempts to rest. He also needs to drink and eat more. Again, we've seen drastic improvement over the past few days, but we are no where near where we need to be because he just can't stomach anything--thankfully no vomiting, but we are dealing with lots of nausea. Please keep praying for this, too! Please keep praying for the cancer to shrink, his body to heal, and for no more need for pain meds!
We love you all and we are glad to be home!
