July 22 (Sunday): 145pm Short Update

First-both hospitals ICU are fielding multiple phone calls asking for information on Rich and Jeannette.  While weunderstand everyone's desire to learn what they can, PLEASE refrain from calling the hospital and asking.  We want to insure the ICU staffs are free to do their important jobs.   Thanks!!!

As of a few minutes ago here is the latest.   Rich is waking up, sitting in his bed and discovering his injuries.   He looked at his arm, and we told him it was broken.   One eye is still swollen closed, and he was trying to figure out why he couldn't see out of it.   To me he appears to be slowly becoming aware of more things, and he  did ask "Where am I?"   He recognizes his visitors.  The doctors plan to "get him out of bed" later, and let him sit in a chair for a while.    I might skip the action.....it probably won't be a fun adventure.

Jeannette is having a rough day today, with her blood pressure bouncing around some as her body responds to the stresses from yesterday's surgery. The next 24-48 hours are going to be important and we will update this as changes occur.  At the present her condition is not what would be called "medically stable" but we shoul know more as some time passes.
