Time Flies
Wow...I can't believe it's been two full treatments since I've posted...sorry about that.
Last week marked FOLFIRI treatment #7 and although the nausea was much better this time, the fatigue and other side effects have started to take a toll on my body. I'm finding myself tired but not always able to sleep well. My stomach hurts. Food still tastes funny sometimes. I'm all phlegmy. Just the usual side effects of this chemo, but if it is working, I say bring it on.
Having said all that, we decided that I could probably use an additional recovery week. Next week I will still have my office visit with Dr. Huie to review my latest scan and the results of my FoundationOne test but I will not have chemo for another week. (Yeah!!!)
Life has been busy. Erik enjoyed a weekend full of soccer at the Toe Bash Tournament. Ellie has been playing volleyball at school and started singing with me in Senior Choir at church this past weekend. Di has been keeping busy with school...her new classroom is pretty sweet and they had open house tonight. The cats have been needy. The chickens have been loud. The guinea pig has been, well, a guinea pig. As for me, I am honored to be participating as this year's featured artist at FCI's 8th annual art show and silent auction to benefit Middleton Outreach Ministry tomorrow (October 1st) from 5:30-9:00PM. Special thanks to the art show board and to my co-workers for this opportunity. The Great Wall of Korbin has 40 of my photos on display. If you're in the area, stop on by and say hello! You can learn more at www.fciartshow.com
That's all for now...Thanks for checking in!

Korb it is good to hear from you. Not so good to hear what chemo is doing to your body. So happy for you with the art show you are an awesome photographer. Love the senior pictures you took of Q they are great!! Love hearing that Ellie is singing with you in choir that must be a great experience. Think of all of you often wishing there was something we could do to help in some way. You are on so many prayer lists your name appears in our church bulletin every week and Pastor Sara mentions you often. You are an inspiration to all of us. Love you much Korb know that you are always in our prayers. Aunt Sue and Uncle Marcus
