A Clean MRI
Well, there may still be tumors in the rest of my body but it looks like I've got a clear head. :) Reviewed last week's MRI with Dr. Huie today and everything looks good up there. MRI impression was "no evidence of metastatic recurrence."
My CEA is down from 152 four weeks ago to 119 today...A good sign that the Folfiri is doing its job so we will continue with it. We did however decide to lower my dose starting with the next treatment to see if my body tolerates it a bit better.
We also reviewed the FoundationOne results and have some leads on several other drugs that might have a good chance at attacking my tumors. They are either FDA approved for other cancers or are in clinical trials right now. We should have a couple of good options to work with after the Folfiri stops doing its job.
The past two days have been great...I'm finally feeling "normal" again and am looking forward to feeling that way for the rest of this week. I'll go back for Folfiri #8 next Monday.
Thanks for checking in! —Korbin
