Home again
It's good to be back home in snowy Wisconsin. :) We had a great trip last week! The new (to us) Harry Potter stuff between the two parks at Universal was amazing and we even got to ride the Hogwarts Express.
I was nervous about how well I would be able to travel but everything worked out very well...I was able to hang back and rest at the hotel during the times that I was low on energy and the kids got plenty of time at the park with Di and my parents. We rented a wheel chair for me to use at the park...This helped a LOT and let me experience quite a bit more than I otherwise would have been able to do. When we arrived in Orlando, it was 55-60 degrees and people were all bundled up like it was a crazy winter storm.
I dealt with some nausea and pain towards the end of the trip but we did the best that we could trying to keep it under control. i was able to get fluids when we got back to Madison on Friday so that helped a bit. Bottom line, even dealing with that, I'm glad we were able to make the trip...It was needed.
I'll go in for fluids again on Tuesday and will meet with Dr. Huie this week to try and decide what we do next. I'm still having some issues with occasional break through pain in my abdomen and a dull pain in my back so I'd like to see if we can find some ways to minimize that. Other than that, it's just rest and recovery for me. Happy Valentine's Day!

Korb So glad you had a good vacation so happy your folks went with you. That had to help everyone the kids I am sure had such a great time!! Now that you are home just get lots of rest watch some good movies and hopefully they will find something to relieve your pain. Think of you so often and keep you in our prayers always. So glad you guys had a much needed vacation. I remember the trip my family took to Florida this time many years ago and it was so incredibly special to have Dad during fhat time. Love and hopes that your doctor's visits produce some concrete and helpful actions for you. ❤️ To you, Di and the kids.
