The best part of birthdays (once you're over a certain age) is hearing from friends and remembering good times together. It's especially true this year. I am most grateful for all the support and love I've experienced for Bob and for me in this last month. And the best part is that I'm happy to share good news today.[...]
From Bob's Facebook post:
One day of freedom led me back to the ER yesterday [Sunday] and being admitted back to Evergreen Hospital last night with blood clots in the arm, leg and lungs. All small and controllable, just uncomfortable with swelling and pain. I'll be here a few more days until they are under control. Keep those prayers and good thoughts coming my way![...]
George turns 40 today! We opened our front door this morning to find a walker on our front porch, presumably left by one of our neighbors.

Written by Bob:
Great News Everyone! I will be going home Saturday after being released from In-patient Rehab at Evergreen Hospital. I will be starting Out-Patient rehab next week for speech, occupational and physical disciplines. [...]

He's currently in the process of getting discharged from the hospital in Tacoma, and will be relocating to a hospital much closer to home to begin in-patient rehab and therapy. The great news is that he is 1) well enough to be transported by private vehicle and 2) they must trust Mary enough to let her transport him. We originally thought he was only going to be able to be moved via ambulance or another medical transport.[...]
From Mary:
Living in gratitude for all the love, expert care, and continued support for Bob in his journey back to "being Bob" again...[...]
From George (Bob's son in law):
I stopped by to visit Bob on my way home. He had a long day but he was in good spirits. Today he had multiple specialists and nurses checking on his progress. As Nikki said below he was able to move short distances. He was able to communicate better than when I saw him Sunday. [...]
