MONDAY, MARCH 26, 2018

Brian completed another round of chemo on Wednesday, 3/21.  Two down and ten to go.  This dose took a little more of a toll on him in that he felt a little more nauseous and had an upset stomach - but being the typical Brian we all know and love, he got through it with no complaints.  We'll see the team at Duke on Monday, 4/9 and are hoping for continued good news!  Once again, we ask for your continued prayers and support.  Let's pray for his continued healing process![...]

TUESDAY, MARCH 20, 2018

We're back from Florida where we had a very nice and relaxing 6 days in the sun.  Brian started chemotherapy again on Saturday.  He's very tired but feeling and looking good.  We anxious for our return to Duke on April 9th and are hoping for good news.  Please continue to pray for Brian to stay strong and healthy.  There's still a big concern for him being around large crowds and sick people. We appreciate everyone's continued support and prayers.[...]

FRIDAY, MARCH 9, 2018

Brian has finished one chemotherapy cycle and we went for blood work today.  His levels were good and we will return next Friday for another blood test to confirm that he is ready for another chemo cycle beginning Sunday, March 18th.  We are returning to Duke on April 8th and he will have another MRI on Monday, 4/9/18 and meet with the doctors.  Please continue to pray that we get more good news like we did in February.  So far, so good on Brian tolerating the chemo other than being tired.  We feel so blessed that our dear friends are treating us to a little get away to Florida this next week and we're hoping Brian can enjoy some warm weather.  Thank you all for your continue prayers and support.  We love you all![...]

Brian started this past Saturday his 5 day chemo regiment.  So far so good but just a little tired.  His friend from college came this past weekend with his family and we had a real nice visit.  He is doing occupational and physical therapy to help along the healing process.  Please continue to pray that he can tolerate the chemotherapy and gets stronger every day.  Thanks for everyone's support - it means the world to us.[...]

We received wonderful news today from Duke University!  Brian's MRI was much better than any of the doctors anticipated.  The tumor is shrinking and the doctor was extremely pleased with the results.    She even told Brian that he is an "over achiever!"  Everyone had told us not to get our hopes up but we now know how the power of prayer is working!  Brian will start chemo back up again this coming Sunday with 5 days on/23 days off.  We will be seeing an oncologist at Alexian Brothers hospital on Thursday who will be working with Duke.  We will return in April for another scan and look for continued improvement.  We could not be more grateful for Brian's progress and hope you will all continue praying and keep us in your thoughts.  We thought you would enjoy seeing Brian's celebratory dinner![...]

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2018

We made a last minute decision to have Duke University oversee Brian's care so we are headed to North Carolina this afternoon.  We are meeting with the doctors tomorrow in order to put a plan in place.  The last 2 days have been really great for Brian.  He's been doing occupational therapy every Friday and has been feeling much better.  He has had more energy the last couple of days so we're taking advantage of it.  Wish us luck, pray for safe travels and keep us in your thoughts.  [...]

Brian is recuperating from his treatments.  He gets tired quickly but is also somewhat bored.  We are trying to keep him healthy during this horrible flu season so we haven't ventured out much.  Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and we thank everyone for all you've done for us.[...]
