With Halloween just a day away it was finally time for jack o lanterns!    Owen carved his with Zack's assistance and is quite proud of the result.   Levi took a different approach using stickers to make a silly and spooky face.   So glad both boys are at home to celebrate!!![...]

Thank you to Amazon for providing a seemingly endless supply of large cardboard boxes which sometimes are even better for playtime than the contents of those boxes.   Owen and Levi decided to use this one as a home that they are remodeling and hopefully will flip for lots of profit.  They are quite the construction team![...]

Levi has been in a really good mood over the past few days.  He’s been doing great in PT and OT, and even doing more exercises at home.  We are noticing improved strength in his core muscles as he can scoot and turn himself a little easier without help.  That has been great to see!   Oh course, he loves to play with his trucks, blocks, and throwing balls which helps to improve his strength as well   [...]

Levi is doing well at home.  Look how high he is reaching to build this tower!  He was barely able to lift his arms at all just a few short months ago much less above his head!   His mood has been more upbeat the last two days as well as he gets used to his new tube in his stomach.  [...]

Levi has his next hearing test today to ensure there haven’t been any changes following his last treatment.  Another day at the hospital, but at least there are fish to look at while he waits!   [...]

Levi is home again although he has almost daily appointments to make sure he’s staying in tip top shape.  He continues to have a sore tummy with the placement of his tube, but this should start to get better soon. Today was another Covid Test which he hates and literally has had done twice weekly since this all began...yuck!   Tomorrow he will again have his hearing screen which requires that he be placed under sedation so more time at the hospital, but a nice warm home awaits him when done.   This is especially important as the snow has begun!   So much so, that Owen was able to have a snowball fight.  It seems way too early for that so all of us except Owen are hoping the Midwest treats us with a classic abrupt change and the sunshine comes back with a vengeance.  [...]

Levi’s surgery went well and he no longer has a tube in his nose!   He is still tired from the anesthesia, but we expect that.  Right now his tummy hurts due to the new tube, but we’re hoping that improves over the next several days - the sooner the better!   He will be in the hospital overnight with hope he can go home tomorrow.   Fingers crossed![...]

Levi and Owen are back to being best buds!  Owen has been keeping him smiling with his silly antics, fast forwarding commercials when watching Blaze and keeping Radar from chewing on his toys.  We are so glad they are getting some time together![...]

Levi was able to come home late today!   (Insert cries of joy, dancing, and any other form of celebration here!)[...]

After a few more rough days, this afternoon we’re starting to see some smiles again!   After doing one of his favorite activities, crashing his Blaze trucks, he got into a very spirited contest of hot potato.   He needed more platelets today and his white blood cells are still low, but his pain has greatly improved.   We’re still on track to maybe get him back home this weekend.  That would make us all smile!!![...]
