Levi passed away last night at home with Beth and Zack cuddling him, surrounded by love.

Thank you for being by their side, taking this journey with them. We will never be able to repay your kindness, prayers, and love. The constant flow of food, cards, little messages, comments, etc. has made a difference that cannot be put into words. [...]

Things are still going well at home and Levi continues to prove that he is nothing short of Amazing.  He’s very sleepy so we spend a lot of time reading stories, snuggling and holding hands - but his new bed makes it easy for the whole family to do it together!  Going on walks remain one of his favorite activities as his eyes open up wide and he takes in all he can when we put him in the stroller.   
We continue to pray that he stays comfortable and knows his family is right by his side.[...]

Levi has been home for several days now. It’s been quite a learning process as Beth and Zack take over for what the nurses and doctors had been doing. They, of course, have been doing awesome and risen to the occasion with no complaints and love.[...]

It has been a long and difficult ride for this family.  And despite all of the challenges we have faced over the past 13 months, we are incredibly grateful because the smiles, giggles, and joy Levi has brought to us have far outweighed those challenges.  And now, we continue with our hearts wide open, giving all of our love to the Amazing Levi as the end of his journey has begun.[...]

Levi is doing better and stable now. He is however very sleepy. They will continue to monitor him in PICU and adjust some of the meds to see if that is the cause of his extra sleepiness. His excess abdominal fluid (ascites for you medical types) is also improved. This is good news as he will be more comfortable without a big ol' belly full of fluid. [...]

Levi has been doing well and there were even some signs that his kidneys are improving.  Today, however, his blood pressures were a little low so he has been transferred back to the PICU for extra support.  
Right now they are evaluating for causes and giving him extra oxygen to keep him comfortable.  Levi has been resting, looking cute and being Amazing - so just another day for him.  Let’s hope it’s a short visit and we get back to steady improvements soon![...]

Levi received a special song all about him!  This is such a wonderful gift from the folks at the Songs for Love Foundation. 

He's still out of it, but we're hoping that he'll be able to enjoy the song to its fullest in the next few days. The doctors have made some adjustments to help with the delirium so he can be more interactive. His kidneys seem to be doing better (yea) and he'll be getting a replacement tube to help drain the fluid from his abdomen.  Continued prayers that everything goes as planned and he becomes more aware are greatly appreciated.    [...]

Levi has been holding steady - tolerating his dialysis and doing well with his breathing.  Every once in awhile he needs a little bit of oxygen, but he is still doing great when only 10 days ago he needed the full breathing tube.  [...]
