Chemo Day 3

Levi is in the middle of Day 3 of chemotherapy.   Day 3 seems to be going better than Day 2 which unfortunately included some tummy aches and throwing up.   No wonder he needed more naps yesterday![...]

Cycle 2 Day 1...but first, Music

Today is the start of Levi’s second cycle of chemotherapy.  Of course, we’re all nervous but glad his treatment is continuing.  The chemo thankfully is not on Levi’s mind, but music certainly is.   He woke Beth up early this morning singing songs including classics such as Wheels on the Bus.  His day of music continues as his therapy team is using a ukulele to keep him interested in using his arms more and more.   It has been an AMAZING week as he seems to get a little better each day.  [...]

Lions, and Wagons, and Fish... OH MY!

Levi's pic line is out and he is just using his port now to receive his chemo. Such good news, as that reduces needle sticks.

He also got to take a wagon ride to see what's going on outside his room. And he found some fish! He somewhat enjoyed his wagon ride (a sneaky way to get some sitting up time - work that core!) and he did enjoy seeing the fish. It's nice he can move about a little to get out of his room.[...]

Yes and No

Yes!!!!

Levi’s surgery went well and his port is in place.  That means less needle sticks on a daily basis. This will be especially important for the start of his next cycle of chemo which is now slated for Tuesday.

Smiles all around...

Yesterday the stem cell harvesting went well and we are all celebrating that they were able to get enough cells that he does not have to repeat it today.  In addition, he was able to come off of the breathing tube easily once the procedure was over.  Yes!!![...]
