Things Learned So Far - Insurance

What It's Like To Go Through Chemo: Side Effects Update (Infusion 2 of 12)

Notes from Infusion 2 of 12

I just wanted to provide a brief update on yesterday's infusion.  Aside from starting late and ending late (we didn't leave until 9:30pm), everything went off without a hitch.  The drugs were administered as normal, the familiar side effects from the first infusion presented themselves yesterday (shaking legs, numbness, nausea, slurred speech).[...]

As I go into the second infusion with optimism and excitement to get another chance to shrink the tumors and kill the cancer, I am overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the support, well wishes, and prayers from everyone.  Know that I am grateful for each and every one of you, and that your support gives me positivity and strength to the point where my mindset right now is that winning this battle is the only option.  I couldn't imagine going through this without everyone by my side, and therefore I feel lucky to have you, as others haven't been blessed with the same support system.[...]
