Focusing on the Positive

Levi keeps pushing forward despite the ongoing vomiting and for the most part has continued smiling and cuddling (recently with his Police Bear) whenever possible.  He’s really tired, but always happy to talk about colors, animal sounds or his family.  So if he can focus on the positive, so can we.  So, here is our list of positives for this Sunday:[...]

Friday Dose of Cuteness

Day #3 of chemo today.  Unfortunately, the vomiting started ramping up again with Day #1.   Poor little buddy.  But despite this, he is still waking up with smiles and talking throughout the day.  He even joined in on a family zoom meeting yesterday to impress everyone with his cuteness. However, this was short lived as he preferred to watch paw patrol and rest.   We don’t blame you Levi.[...]

Uh Oh Spaghetti-Os

Levi had a good day yesterday, working with music therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. As the video shows, exercising his arms to knock balls off of his table has quickly become a favorite.   He laughs every time someone has to pick the ball up for him.  And being able to hear his laugh is definitely worth picking it up over and over.[...]

Manic Monday!

Levi is being more responsive which means...  NO SURGERY.

Ground Crew

Levi has continued to be a little more alert this weekend - taking trips to watch the fish tank, enjoying Blaze, and saying “Thank you” to all of his nurses.  Unfortunately , he continues to throw up. His MRI showed that he might be having more trouble with his shunt.  They have adjusted his settings and are watching closely.  If no improvement, then our little man will be having another surgery tomorrow.  Here’s hoping the adjustments are enough and surgery can wait.  [...]

No no ouchies!

Another full day for Levi and boy is he tired of people messing with him!  They were able to take his eeg leads off his head today, but as you can tell, it was not the most comfortable thing.  But, we are so happy he’s starting to tell us things like that again now that his medications are better adjusted.  [...]
