Eric continues to do very well. His care team appears to be impressed with how well he is tolerating radiation and chemo. His energy levels fluctuate, but I think we have figured out how to manage it. His lab results continue to tell us that he is stable and maintaining levels within the proper ranges. [...]
Eric has officially completed 20/30 radiation fractions and is currently at the 2/3 done mark!
He is continuing to do really well. His lab work continues to hold steady. Symptoms are well managed. His care team seems impressed with how well he is doing. Luckily no more incidents of cerebral edema. The radiation finally resulted in some hair loss, so Eric decided to shave his head to minimize the patchiness of radiation induced hair loss. Admittedly this was a tough stage. Eric's hair loss was emotional for both of us, and shaving was equally emotional. [...]
Unfortunately, Post Hope limits pictures to four. Four photos is not nearly enough to show you all of our adventures, so I included this short post with 4 more. [...]

His body seems to be tolerating treatment as well as can be expected. It seems as if his side effects are minimal at this point in time and well managed. His lab work seems to be reacting the way his care team thought it would. So, things seem to be going well. [...]

Not sure I was quite prepared for the adventure week!! Eric and J informed me that the goal is "one adventure per day of radiation treatment". So, in true form, only a couple of hours after stepping off the plane, I was headed into the mountains above Salt Lake with Eric, J and the dogs for an afternoon hike of several hours! [...]
While sitting on the plane heading to Salt Lake City last week I calculated how long it had been since I'd seen most of my family. 14 months for my parents...about 16 months for my sister, and almost two years for my brothers. Way too long! [...]
Eric and I just wanted to enter a short update. No news is good news. Things here have been holding steady. Eric is officially one week into chemo and radiation treatments and is doing really well. [...]
Sorry for the delay in updating. It's been a while for me to be able to figure out the words to explain what is happening.
The good news is that we arrived safely in SLC and are beginning to settle in. The the even better good news is that Eric is eligible for the clinical trial and has been accepted into the clinical trial. [...]
