10 -14. A work in progress

Monday last, Candy took Walker back to the ER, avoiding having to call 911. Again his breathing had gotten so difficult that only emergent care could to help him to stay afloat. 10 - 6 A good quiet week

Walker has been home 12 days now since his last ICU visit and we are steady as she goes :-). 9-7

It’s been a busy week for Walker, many doctor visits and decisions to be made. And as he told me, making decisions a 20 yr old kid should not have to make. Agreed! They are preparing him and us for his return home, this time with more support equipment to make his stay more successful this time around.[...]

8-19 Miracle Man

Early last week, we had an appointment with Dr. Botta, Walkers primary surgeon who performed his ECMO surgery. Doc said that Walker was officially released from his care and he called him “The Miracle Man”. It’s one thing to hear this from family or friends but when your surgeon says it it carries a certain weight, as in heavy. He also said that he believes that Walkers youthful stem cells will continue to mend his body and that in his opinion Walker will end up keeping both lungs. Time will tell, but are praying for Doc Botta’s opinion. 👍[...]
