Disconcerting news.......

After weeks of waiting....
the doctors confirmed that Natalia will need to have radiation therapy, as soon as possible, along with her chemo. Please pray for continual strength, her last round of chemo left her very weak and super nauseous. Her current labs are very low...

To start chemo....or NOT....

Doctors gave us the option to leave yesterday and come back on Monday, because she did not qualify to get chemo. They said they did NOT think she would be ready this weekend, to come back on Monday, it was up to us to decide.....or wait for Saturday morning to see if the numbers went up........HIGHLY unlikely for the counts to go that high OVERNIGHT.......the doctor even told Natalia that if she wanted to start Saturday, she needed to PRAY!! What an opportunity to allow The Lord to do HIS thing....if it was his will to start on Monday(or any other day), we would be glorifying him anyways! We prayed for GOD's will to be done, first and foremost....and gave it to the ONE who could change the bone marrow's output...OVERNIGHT! In the name of JESUS, the one who CAN do MIRACLES.....THANK YOU, JESUS! He is here...holding Sofia every step of the way....BIG or small.[...]

Emergency appointment

Took her in this morning in an emergency/unplanned appointment. Because she had pain ALL last night. She's getting admitted to hydrate and monitor pain.....they are running tests.Counts are real low, so she can't clear for chemo. Need counts to go up, so we can keep going with treatment as planned. Pray for us please...:( Her body needs to recover from the last blast of chemo.[...]

Bittersweet....

When I got the call to restart chemo, sadness set in...our Christmas bubble was burst.... Christmas was wonderful.....we got so used to not having the chemotherapy treatments! Although we were on hiatus for SIX weeks, there were new post-operative challenges. These challenges were a welcome change vs the chemo! Sofia flourished these past six weeks, she is the healthiest since she got sick.....so going back to start another nine months of chemo was difficult for ALL of us. She had a hard time accepting the fact that she had to go back, the night before and the morning of....she cried and cried...please don't take me back, mommy, I don't want to go back.[...]

...A BLESSED CHRISTMAS....BEYOND WORDS......

We, as a family, are speechless!  MANY Hearts were touched by God to BLESS our family for Christmas, and we are filled with gratitude. We had to divide the gifts between two Christmas trees...our family has NEVER had such a Christmas! Such overflowing kindness and generosity!
THANK YOU ALL! May God continue to BLESS ALL OF YOUR FAMILIES, now and always. May you reap ALL that you have sowed in the new year!
