Always depending on JESUS....HE is ALL we need.

Natalia is feeling better! NO fever, PRAISE GOD! This morning, she was reminding me of how much she wanted to go to school....she was so upset that she was sick, and that she couldn't continue attending school this week. :( Her home bound teacher stopped by and she was able to finish a lot of the work she missed...what a BLESSING! Praying that her immune system continues to get stronger day by day, that her labs go up to the high end of normal, and that her leg heals IN ITS ENTIRETY........in the name of JESUS, we declare Natalia Sofia completely healed of any remnants of her therapy, wash her by the blood, cleanse her, Lord. We are completely trusting our Natalia Sofia to a powerful, faithful, God, who can completely restore and renew organs, meanwhile giving us the peace, comfort and strength we need to get through. For that second that the dr. mentioned we MAY be admitted, we collapsed in each other's arms......along with JESUS. When reality hit us, HE held us, maintained us strong, and gave us the endurance we needed to jump through this hurdle. Knowing that we can ALWAYS count on JESUS to give us the strength we need at exactly the right time! Hebrews 10:35-36 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. Psalm 56:11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah Psalm 91:2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

Cure Search 2015

Cure search 2015 was a success! Our team raised more than their goal! It was awesome to see 500 plus people walking in the rain to support their family and friends! It was definitely a rain event! Rain or shine we were just as determined as everyone else was, to support our #cancerhero, Natalia Sofia!! I was truly touched to see entire families come together to represent a fallen hero by volunteering at the event! One in particular struck me as soon as we walked in at the registration counter. With a beautiful smile, radiating the Love of JESUS on her face, Melissa Mugno's sister, Jennifer was volunteering. I was overwhelmed with emotion, and could barely get my words out! It wasn't even a year since she lost her sister to osteosarcoma........after many years of battling this horrible and wicked disease, Melissa is now in the presence of JESUS, cancer-free. Natalia's school surprised our family with a yellow ribbon fund raiser to support our Cure Search walk, some students in her class went out and raised funds for cure search! Thank you ALL for your kind online donations to support childhood cancer research!! Some of the students from the first year class of Hillsborough Community College's Sonography program came out to support Natalia! Surrounded by friends and family, we walked while the rain mixed in with our tears. Charlie Belcher was the host of the ceremony, and as he called all the cancer survivors to go onstage to receive a medal, I am painfully reminded that some of the parents have lost their child through the battle. I am truly forever grateful just to have Sofia with us.......it is truly a gift. Claudia, Edgar's mom was there, and she received a white rose from Natalia Sofia, in honor of her son, Edgar. It is unfortunate that cancer has brought some of us mommies together, but I am so humbled to be in the lives of the women that I have met through this journey. God had bonded us together through surreal circumstances, to get the very BEST out of us....for HIS GLORY. There is a GOD-GIVEN purpose and a GOD-GIVEN plan in our circumstance, one that we simply can't afford to miss. Grumbling and complaining about our circumstance will keep us from fulfilling HIS call on our lives.........embrace your circumstance.....breathe in your circumstance....be JOYFUL in ALL circumstances. Even when it is your child that has the unfathomable cancer.........Because on the other side of your circumstance, there's a mommy without her baby, aching to touch her child o.n.e.l.a.s.t.t.i.m.e. Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in ALL circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Colossians 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Join us for Cure Search 2015

Cure Search Walk 2014 was very difficult to put into words, so at the time I just didn't write. The day was charged with a roller coaster of emotions! Natalia had decorated a poster in memory of our Edgar Trejo to give to his mother, and we made one in honor of Natalia Sofia, our survivor! Charlie Belcher called up parents of a child that lost their battle, and Natalia wheeled herself to the stage, and took a white rose to give to Claudia, Edgar's mom. Unbeknownst to his mom, Edgar had been collecting money, little by little for college, in a rice bag. His mother brought the heavy bag of coins to donate gift cards to the hospital for cancer families......WOW! What a powerful statement!! Our friend could barely carry the bag full of coins, as she almost toppled over! Seeing the support of not only the friends and family that walked alongside us, as we held our posters high, but seeing the community come together to BE A VOICE for the awareness of childhood cancer was an unforgettable experience. LOTS of tears..... Unfortunately, many are unaware of how poorly funded childhood cancer really is. Poor funds lead to no research, and consequently, NO CURE. The harsh adult treatments make it difficult for the children to survive......Many survive the cancer, but NOT the side effects, and many have chronic illnesses following their treatment. This year would you join us? We would LOVE to see you there! It is important to rally around and SUPPORT those of us who have been in the trenches fighting with this ugly disease, and raising awareness in the community! We will be joining the St. Joseph's Team, Chemosabes again this year! Unfortunately, this year we will have to add more names to our memorial posters. #curesearchwalk2015 #joinchemosabes #raiseawareness #unitedwetriumph #childhoodcancerawareness
