Day.four

Natalia was able to enjoy some quality time with her daddy BEFORE getting hit with her chemotherapy. 

Once the drugs started going in....her blood pressure started dropping, she felt weak, lightheaded, got shaky, dizzy, heavy, and was knocked out asleep. :(([...]

Day.three

Natalia had a better day! She did not have any of the usual effects of the chemo, PRAISE GOD!

She had X-rays of her right leg ordered, and we will go over the results with her doctor tomorrow! Grateful for a mighty, powerful God, who does NOT sleep, who keeps Natalia Sofia in the palm of his hand, under HIS WILL, HIS umbrella of protection...TRUSTING HIM in our journey.[...]

She's a WINNER!

Natalia was selected for the Apple a Day Program! Jayde Donovan and 101.5 FM had a party on Saturday for all the kids to receive their Apple gifts and goodies! Natalia took pictures in their photo booth and did a tour of the radio station....she had an AMAZING time! [...]

Day.two

Waking up to Natalia screaming and crying in pain was NOT something that we had anticipated. The pain woke her up from her sleep.....it was excruciating. Flashbacks quickly flooded my mind of the weekend before her diagnosis.....[...]

Birthday girl!

Natalia went to school all week and she's had a BLAST! Yesterday, at the fifth grade banquet, the fifth graders made her feel so welcome! They took pictures with her, decorated her wheelchair with glow sticks, and showered her with attention!! Today, she played board games with her friends, participated in her brother's festivities, and was surprised with birthday cupcakes in her classroom! [...]

All done with chemotherapy.....till next time.

Natalia's platelets were checked this morning and she passed! She was not a happy camper to be back getting her finger poked today....pouting at the fact that she was getting admitted. :( (even though this is a short stay.) After a looooong day of waiting for a room to open up in the unit, accessing in the infusion room, getting labs, checking for blood in the urine, and waiting for her chemo to be especially made, we made it back to the floor AND got our chemo shortly after!! ( we usually get it past ten pm.) Hooray!! Celebrating the little things![...]
